Biography
Robert Skalik, MD, PhD, consultant in cardiology, exercise physiologist. He completed his PhD in echocardiography from Medical University of Wrocław, Poland. He covered internship in Department of Cardiology, Free University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, lecturer in Postgraduate School of Cardiology, University of Perugia , academic teacher and researcher in Department of Physiology, former consultant in cardiology in Department of Cardiac Surgery and Cardiology, Medical University of Wrocław, former Head of Department of Cardiac Rehabilitation, Wrocław. He is consultant in cardiology for two regional Hospitals and outpatient clinics. He also runs private practice in cardiology. Member of Editorial and Review Boards: Annals of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Diseases, Journal of Cardiovascular Disorders, Clinical and Medical Investigations, reviewer for journals: International Journal of Cardiology, International Cardiovascular Forum Journal, And Expert Review of Cardiovascular Therapy. He has published 107 papers on cardiology and human physiology. His professional and scientific interests include echocardiography, electrocardiography, cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
